I primarily stream speedruns, mostly of Mario RPGs. I often tend to be non-verbal, in most cases I simply have nothing to say or don't know how to respond to chat messages.
I do not currently use any stream alerts, I might add some for subs/bits/raids at some point but I'm not sure. I will never use follow alerts (with name), however, because I do not want to pressure any new followers to come out of lurk.
I do also have a Discord server. Feel free to join if you wish (as long as you don't break the rules), though it is mainly used for stream notifications. You can also join just to use my emotes across Discord if you're subbed here or have Discord Nitro.
If you want to see my channel's bot commands but want to continue lurking, here is the command list.
Don't get banned (this is to say that I reserve the right to remove you from my community if I deem you uncomfortable / annoying / whatever, even if you don't explicitly break any other rules)
Absolutely no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or the like will be tolerated
Avoid overly suggestive / gross humor
Don't spam excessively (I am ok with tasteful copypasta and such)
Swearing is mostly fine, slurs are not
Capture card
Home consoles: AVerMedia Live Gamer 4K
Upscaler for SD consoles: RetroTINK 5X-Pro
N64: S-Video (I would also use this for SNES) (might look into RGB modding eventually idk)
GameCube: OEM component cable (check the "Old Stuff" panel for cheaper alternatives; S-Video should also be okay but won't output in progressive scan so it won't look as good)
GBA: Game Boy Player + hacked game file to boot into Game Boy Interface
Wii: OEM component cable
Broadcasting software: OBS Studio
Timer: LiveSplit
Raphnet adapter (GC to N64)
Ground loop isolator to mitigate static noise from line-in
Input display
-- Software: RetroSpy
-- Hardware
--- GameCube
--- N64/SNES
Pretty much all of my channel artwork (i.e. my profile picture, banner, offline image, emotes, and sub badges) was drawn by Muz, go follow them <3
Subs and donations are greatly appreciated and really help me out, but are absolutely not required. There will not be an alert on stream if you do decide to sub/donate, but just know that I am always very grateful for any support.
I do run 1.5 minutes of ads every 30 minutes to disable prerolls (you likely won't miss too much anyway due to my quiet nature). If you really don't want to see ads, subscribing to the channel should prevent you from seeing them here; alternatively, a Twitch Turbo subscription should disable ads on any Twitch stream (among some other perks).
Click the panel image for my speedrun.com profile, pretty much every speedrun I've put effort into can be found there (I do not feel like manually updating this panel anymore lmao)
The following are things I do not currently use in my setup but can still recommend.
Just about any CRT with appropriate inputs should work well for SD gaming (powered splitter recommended for capture, the splitters I've used were not powered and my quality probably suffered a bit because of that)
GV-USB2 for composite or S-Video capture
RetroTINK 2X-MINI works nicely to get HDMI output from N64 (probably also NES/SNES)
CARBY is good to get HDMI output from a GameCube. After getting my RetroTINK 5X, I briefly used this digital-to-analog converter to convert the CARBY's signal to component. This was a pretty cumbersome setup with very quiet audio from my experience, and I did notice a slight flicker on console bootup and resolution changes (I think). It did look fine though, and I didn't notice any input delay so this could be an alternative to my current setup if you already have a CARBY and a 5X or similar upscaler.
mClassic upscaler works well with CARBY and RetroTINK 2X from my experience, might also work well with consoles like Wii U and Switch (I haven't tried these myself). I didn't really notice a difference with the RetroTINK 5X though.
N64 controller switcher. I think I had mistakenly gotten one without a built-in input viewer, but it should work well based on what I've seen from other speedrunners. I tried plugging this into my current input display, but it did not seem to play well with the Raphnet adapter.
