How old are you? I'm 39.
How tall are you? I'm 6'2".
What's wrong with your vision? I was born with X-Linked Juvenile Retinoschisis, a rare genetic disease that affects the retinas (the part of your eye that takes in light and provides visual feedback to your optic nerve).
How bad is your vision? I am considered legally blind, meaning that my vision is worse than 20/200. I'm also dreadfully colorblind and constantly struggle to properly identify most colors if they're not a vibrant shade or heavily contrasted.
Is there a cure? Can you get surgery? There is currently no cure or corrective surgery for Retinoschisis.
So, how do you play games? Just like most people do! I just sit very close to a large TV screen.
How do you read chat? I don't! I use TTS (TwitchTTS) via my phone. I used to try reading chat normally with enlarged text, but this has been so much easier and allows me to respond even when playing games fullscreen.
