Hi, my name is AF (or ICC for those who knew me before 2021). I am currently an undergraduate student in Canada, pursuing a degree in Astrophysics and Computer Science. In my free time, I engage in volunteer work, watch documentaries, explore mathematical modeling, and indulge in playing Bullet/Blitz Chess. Additionally, I have a keen interest in Naval History. My channel name (AF_is_short_on_water) is a historical reference to the Battle of Midway which the American intelligence team intercepted a Japanese message saying that the island was short on fresh water.
I'm a CV main with more than 13K random battles, I have a current CV solo win rate of 70% (Recent Solo win rate 78%) and I hold various "Leaderboard #1 Positions" on ASIA. I started to play CVs after patch 0.9.2 and quickly got familiar with its mechanics and gameplay. I write CV reviews on Reddit and stream on Twitch, I love explaining my gameplay decisions during my battles, and many beginner CV players find this helpful. I also find myself competent in Submarines and other ship types, although I'm not as good as on a CV when playing those ships, I have an account win rate of ~69%.
I started streaming about 2 years ago on another platform with another language. I had a good history of keeping a steady stream schedule. I became an English streamer on Twitch since late 2022 where I enjoy helping others. I do free replay analysis in my community Discord server (https://discord.com/invite/qkdRzSTu89) as well as share my opinion on forums.
In the past, I have written extensive reports as part of the CST program, honing my skills in reviewing and explaining concepts in a numerical and informative manner. World of Warships is a complicated game, and it would be impractical (and boring) for players to simply memorize all the game mechanics and information. Consequently, I strive to provide live commentary on game mechanics and information during my streams. I firmly believe that this will be beneficial to the community, particularly as a "key information provider" for ship classes such as CVs and Submarines. Unlike surface ships, not everyone plays these classes, so it would be valuable for players to learn how to effectively play and counterplay against them.
I firmly believe in maintaining a positive and respectful environment in the game. I never engage in "blaming" or "stat shaming" others, as I understand that everyone plays the game for enjoyment. Not all players are concerned about stats or competitiveness; some simply wish to have fun on a Saturday afternoon. Furthermore, I am generally supportive of WG and its decisions. It's worth mentioning that I have never received any chat bans or game bans in my history. I'm an LGBTQ+ friendly person (Although I'm not one myself) and open to all kinds of viewpoints.
