For those interested in the equipment we use….
Our Instruments: -A Roland 4x electronic accordion. Older traditional accordions produce notes by air passing through reeds as the bellows are moved. This Roland accordion is actually a synthesizer, with the voices produced digitally in response to the bellows action as recorded by pressure sensors, -Silverangel F-style mandolin built of Maple and Adirondack Spruce by Ken Ratcliff in Kentucky. This mando is George’s second voice. -Godin A8 mandolin. A semi-solid bodied instrument with individual piezo pickups in the bridge and an onboard preamp and controls. A gigging workhorse. -Frog. A wooden Mexican percussion type instrument used on our song-fave Horny Toad, by KnumbTheGeek. -Rainstick: 3.5” x 50”
Our Gear: -Two Ear Trumpet Labs microphones, a Delphina and a Myrtle. -QSC Touchmix 8 mixer, with remote iPad interface. The features of this mixer allowed us to retire several other pieces of gear -A Focusrite Scarlett 212 Audio to USB-C interface -We do have a JamMan looper pedal which we haven’t deployed lately, but may do so in the future, (when everything else is stabilized (Ha!)). -Ours and Flaco’s video feeds are from two Logitech webcams. A couple computers, a Lenovo ThinkPad and an iMac, A couple iPhone 11 pros, a couple of vintage iPads for our sheet music, and a variety of supporting software: Streamlabs OBS (of course), Sony Sound Forge, the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premier, other Adobe Software). We use the WIX platform to develop our Website. Sandy loves WIX.
