Born into the once-prestigious House of Blackmane, she carries the blessing of the Equine Spirit, a divine gift that marks her with horse-like ears, tail, and endurance beyond mortal limits. Her clan was renowned for its mounted knights, who fought as if human and steed were one. Yet unlike her kin, she was both—rider and steed, knight and charger, bound by blood to the thundering legacy of her ancestors.
From a young age, she was trained in swordplay, battlefield tactics, and the graceful martial dances that mirrored the rhythm of galloping hooves. Her natural speed, agility, and stamina earned her a place among the Crimson Reins, an elite cavalry unit said to be unstoppable in battle.
She climbed the ranks quickly, her black-and-crimson uniform adorned with golden insignia and the single epaulet denoting her as Knight-Captain. Her cavalry became a symbol of honor and loyalty—until the tides of war shifted.
The empire abandoned its knights, choosing machines and alchemy over flesh and spirit. The Crimson Reins were betrayed, sent into a hopeless charge to cover their lord’s retreat. She alone survived. The thunder of hooves still echoes in her soul, carrying the voices of her fallen comrades.
Branded a relic of a bygone age, she walked away from the battlefield, swearing to carry her unit’s memory forward—not through vengeance, but through living, storytelling, and refusing to let honor die.
Now, she wanders as a knight without a banner. She claims she "ran so far ahead of her unit that she ended up in another world"—a playful half-truth she uses to explain her new life.
