I have been doing illustration for about 15 years. Around the end of 2022, I started learning 3D to join a game project but got ghosted around early 2023, so i decided to pick up blueprints in Unreal Engine 5 to try and prototype a game idea and after some iterating, ended up with Onibi
I have been drawing seriously since 2007, went to music college for 3 years and dropped out and attended art school for 1 year. dropped out of art school in 2016 and started drawing non stop everyday. What i want to achieve in life is to inspire others the way i've been inspired. To write stories that make people feel the way i feel when i read my favorite stories. I believe self improvement is progress no matter how small so just keep at it. Hard work will always pay off in the end no matter what you do.
I justturn on the stream when I'm working which is basically all the time, but if i can help a few people while I'm at it then that's more than enough
what rules? there are no rules. share your art, share your streams, express your opinions, do whatever. life is too short for you to limit yourselves.
Dont hesitate to tag me and ask any questions art and game related or not any time during any part of the stream.
Use whatever game engine fits YOUR project not the other way round. Making a game that you enjoy has a better likelihood of you sticking to it
Anyone can draw. ANYONE. its doesnt matter if you're missing both arms or legs or even if you're blind. all you need to know is what and how to practice and then just PRACTICE.
Talent is like starting with a one skill tree at 50%. i wont say talent doesnt exist but if you dont nurture it anybody who is actually skilling that skill tree can easily overtake someone who had the talent to begin with.
It does not matter if you are drawing on paper or on a tablet, what type of pencil, pen or photoshop brush you use. only your skill will determine the outcome of the drawing so that big fancy screen tablet isn't gonna fix your drawing fundamentals.
The fastest way to improve your drawing at any level is to go back and check your fundamentals. You can always improve on them further.
Color does not make or break the picture. the drawing does. color should only help set the mood. You can paint a wrecked car with ferari red but it's never going to be a ferari.
I don't mind and in fact encourage it as long as it is helpful but i will do my best to understand your point regardless. vague comments like it sucks, looks bad, looks weird doesnt exactly help.
