Mario Maker 2 Baby Precision Competition Rules: The level you submit has to be at least 6 screens long with at least 1 checkpoint. Make sure your level has the tag [BPC] in the title or in the description. Everything else is up to you! NOTE: It is NOT a requirement to be in Team Precision to make a level for this contest, but feel free to add the level to the team if you are in it! If you want to join Team Precision, check out their website for more info: https://makerteams.net/teamprecision. I will be the sole judge of this competition and will judge levels based on: fun factor, difficulty (points deducted if the level is too hard!), aesthetics, and originality. The prize will be a $35 Nintendo eShop Gift Card. To submit your level into the contest, you have to join the chess_wc community discord (https://discord.com/invite/SYRt2R3SMh) and submit it on Jan. 7th, 2025 in the "BPC-Submissions" channel (under "games"). There's also a "BPC-Discussion" channel. Feel free to join the channel before then, to chat with others, discuss with other makers and recruit playtesters for your level!
Guidelines: The idea is to make FUN "baby precision" levels! What is Precision? You can learn all about this style of Mario Maker levels at the Team Precision website: https://makerteams.net/teamprecision. "Baby" implies that the level is not too difficult, fun, and welcoming for a non-precision player. A level that could probably be beaten with one life by an expert Precision player. The level doesn't have to be TOO EASY. It should be somewhat challenging for someone who has never played Mario Maker. After all, it is "Precision." Here's an example of a level that could be described as "baby precision": XRP-3W5-H1G. Why so long to make a level? December is a busy month and I want to give people ample time to make, playtest, and polish their levels! This also gives the maker time if they want to join Team Precision and submit the level into the team as well. To keep things simple, the level should be strictly precision and not mix genres like kaizo, puzzles, troll, etc. Levels will be played/judged starting on Jan. 7th and continue every day throughout the remainder of the week! HAVE FUN!
*It's OK to upload your level at any time beforehand for testing. You can discuss in the discord baby precision competition channel with others as well. How hard should it be? To be specific in terms of #TP difficulty rating, the hardest the level should be, would be a 1.5 with 2cps.

We play A LOT of Mario Maker 2 in hereMy fav style of levels is precision. I also play some Retro and Shmups (shoot em ups). Just got done playing Megaman 1 thru 11. Now on to the X series (1st playthru). My favorite games in terms of nostalgia are Megaman 2 (NES) and Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES). Other games I love are Blades of Steel, Tetris Attack, and Gradius III.

I love chess! I learned the game when I was 7 or 8 years old. My father taught me the moves and told me a family story... “Your great grandfather was the National Champion of Panama. He played a game against Jose Raul Capablanca, the World Champion of Chess, in a simul once. He could’ve gotten a draw!” (simul= Simultaneous Exhibition, in which a chess player alone plays against 25 people, for example). I actually found the game notation online! Someone kept it after all these years and uploaded it to a chess site! Every now and then I play chess on stream (typically Sundays). My top Chess.com rating is 1799 (10 min games).
I started playing drums at 15. I also play a little bit of bass guitar, and piano. I play video game music on stream on the drums and also do music streams (rock, metal, etc) My favorite type of music to play/ listen to is Jazz/ Fusion. My favorite artist is Frank Zappa. I play drums in a VGM band and we play in Jazz Fusion style but keep it Rockin'. Metal! We are recording an album and as soon as the album is out, I will share with you guys more about the band! I’M VERY EXCITE!
Frank Zappa is my absolute favorite. When I found Zappa I stopped looking for new music to listen to. I was blown away by his weirdness, genius, insane lyrics, comedy, ridiculous musical interludes, and the sheer complexity of his music. The first Zappa song I heard was “Filthy Habits” and it completely blew my mind. First album I bought was “Frank Zappa meets The Mothers of Prevention”. If you want to check out some Frank Zappa, these are my “getting into Zappa” recommendations: "Hot Rats" (1969), Over-Nite Sensation (1973), "Apostrophe (')" (1974), "One Size FIts All" (1975), and the posthumously released "Läther" (1996).
The beautiful “Beer Right Back” art that you see sometimes when I take a break is done by BloodFuryArt, who also made some awesome emotes for me and also, an amazing “Motion Comic” of me running to the fridge to get a beer. Goosebizzle did the amazing panels that you are seeing right now! TacoRemix made many of the cool emotes and art for the stream, including merch (the GodDammitos shirt).
