communicating (especially online) can be hard. everyone has different boundaries or topics and jokes their comfortable with. for that reason we use a traffic lights system here. sometimes i use it as a vibe check, sometimes another bean will react to something you wrote in chat.
❤️ !red - I would appreciate a change in topic. This means: Please stop immediately and don't force an explanation. It could very well be, that you already crossed a boundary. If so please apologize and make sure the other person is okay! If you need support for doing so, reach out to another bean that feels trustworthy to you. 💛 !yellow - This conversation is starting to get uncomfortable for me. This means: Please change the topic or stop joking around. It is very cool, that someone told you before they got really uncomfy or hurt, so that's a really good thing! 💚 !green - I am happy for the conversation to continue.
