Heyo, I'm Dean and I'm a bloody Aussie, you can also call me DEAT. I enjoy the Amiga, DOS/Win98 era of PCs and the classic Doom series. I also stream some retro jank goodness from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Sony PS1/PS2 and original XBox, along with doing some development streams for Doom mods/mapping and making awful attempts at music.
When it comes to DOS and Windows 98 game streams, I like to constantly switch hardware to provide a different experience - sound cards in particular can provide a very different experience with MIDI and Adlib (OPL) music compared to what you'd hear in DOSBox or with the standard Microsoft MIDI soundfont.
I play with a trackball instead of a mouse - I started developing RSI in 2015 and decided to use a trackball to alleviate stress from my right hand. Extreme situations can still wear my hand out, but it takes significantly longer than if I was using a mouse.

I generally prefer in-game music while playing, but my stream playlist consists exclusively of tracker music from various composers that I recorded from my Amiga, with almost every song created between 1988 to 1994.
I grew up with a good amount of these songs so be prepared to listen to some seriously amazing stuff that can be produced with a 1987 computer mixed with the rare real jank amateur hour cacophony. If your song appears on my playlist and you do not wish to have it featured, please send me a message.
I was involved pretty heavily in the classic Doom community during the 2000s creating and contributing to all types of things, ranging from gameplay mods to multiplayer levels and a bunch of dumb jokewads that are a product of their fad time. I am known in the Doom community as deathz0r, but I made that nickname in 2001 when I was 14 and I don't care about that name anymore.
Here's some of the finer cuts that I've released or have been part of over the years: Solo OMG Weapons! (and Monsters) Endless Survival
