Hi. I’m Lainey Schooltree (aka LSt), your vibe-or-die astro delivery pilot in a dystopian galaxy not so far away. While I'm streaming music performance from my spaceship, I'm also contributing to society delivering packages in a commercial quadrant called the Fulfillment Frontier thanks to my corporate overlord Amazin Intergalactic. All music on the show is improvised and live-produced in real time with loops, layered FX, and dialing in the mix on the fly. Nothing is written or planned before the show. From banger to buttjam to straight-up avant garbage, anything can happen on our musical space adventures. Don't be surprised if something you say in chat winds up in the song.
About Me
I’m best known as the mastermind behind Heterotopia, an epic art rock opera I wrote for my band Schooltree that earned a Boston Foundation grant and PROG Magazine’s Best Unsigned Artist of 2018. As a composer, producer, audio engineer, and lifelong performer, I love to build complex, high-concept projects that thrive on satire, irreverence, and authenticity.
Beyond Schooltree, I’ve worked in comedy for years, doing stand-up, improv, festivals, and musical satire with my partner @SpookyLoopy in the Steamy Bohemians.
I’m a production nerd trained in music composition, voice, audio engineering, and a fiend for visual design, with a fairly techy set up. My real-life streaming cockpit is a spaceship-like array of synths, controllers, buttons, dials, and bleep blorps.

Heterotopia is a rock opera I wrote and recorded as a double album with my band Schooltree, which won some awards, international acclaim, and the respect/confusion of my peers. It's more story-focused and realized than your typical rock opera: a hero's-journey-to-the-underworld style epic & existential survival guide about a girl who loses her body and must journey as a ghost through a parallel world of the collective unconscious to get it back. Fans of progressive rock double albums like Genesis's Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, you will enjoy this.
