I've been a professional musician for over 15 years, playing the harp for weddings and events, and teaching harp and piano lessons. What harp do you play? My beloved 'big' harpy is a Pilgrim Malvern, made in the UK. My beautiful lever harp (her name is Dolly) is an FH36H from Dusty Strings. I also have a Clarsach from Pilgrim Harps, and a Special Edition Fullsicle from Rees Harps.
When did you start playing? I started piano lessons when I was 6 years old, and then ten years later started harp lessons. So quite a few years ago!
Is playing the harp difficult? Sort of? It's as difficult as any other instrument, which is to say that it takes a lot of practice and time and commitment. But it's never too late to start!
Is music your full-time job? Yes! I'm a professional musician, and I'm very lucky to be able to do what I love. I teach harp and piano lessons, I play the harp for weddings and events and recitals, and I stream here on Twitch!
