MacabreDerek is a Story Teller / Game Master for Vampire: The Masquerade and Dungeons & Dragons, as well as a Commission Artist who takes great joy in bringing people's characters. Oh, and a completely self-aware and unapologetic Edgelord.
A lover of all things Horror, I am a believer of immersive and intense story and freedom of expression, with very little taken off the table to create emotional and visceral reactions from players and viewers. The stories we share always hold an emotional resonance, and the more powerful that emotional response, the longer they stay with us.
This channel was created with the express purpose of helping others in their Table Top RPG Story Crafting, be it the spoken word or stroke of the pen, in order to develop and refine skill sets. Inside each of us is a story teller, a writer, a creation of wonderful and horrible worlds and characters and many simply need the opportunity to craft and express them.
Join us as we discuss and demonstrate the ways in which we tell stories and craft narratives, illustrating (Both figuratively and literally) how to bring that intensity to your own games and stories.
Sundays 6:30 pm CST - Edmonton By Night: Blood Sands A Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition Chronicle following The High Rollers Coterie, a group of Unbound vampires caught in the middle of the political machinations of the Camarilla and the zealotry of the Anarchs.
Mondays 7pm CST - VTM Workshop** We go over Character Creation, Personal Plots, the tools of the trade for any Story Teller in the World of Darkness. This is a great place to be if you are new to World of Darkness as a whole or are just trying to get your fangs wet coming to learn the game Vampire: The Masquerade!
Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday 7:00 PM - Drawing On The Macabre This is when I do my illustrations, primarily using Photoshop, while talking about TTRPGs, World of Darkness, Comics etc. Often times working on a commission, sometimes doing character portraits or working on NPCs for various TTRPGs
