My stream rules are very simple:
ARMED WITH THEIR SPEED is a speedrunning marathon cofounded by myself, Glue, and Weedeater in 2021. AWTS Events have helped raise over $3000 for Shriner's Hospital for Children.
All of my speedruns get uploaded to a channel called "marathonman's Speedrun Archive". I post full game runs, twitch highlights, individual level speedruns, speedrun commentaries, and trick/speedrun tutorials on here.
My channel "Marathon Man Productions" contained most of my film and music related stuff, although speedrun videos did still appear occasionally. Most of the videos remain unlisted for now, so if you are interested feel free to ask. My goal one day would be to make a full length documentary on the people I have met through speedrunning over the years.
I now post all of my art publicly over on Instagram: @marathonmandesigns I am mostly focusing on music related stuff: album artwork and layouts, merchandising, and other stuff. I do occasionally post original stuff on there as well.

Q: Can I call you "Nick"? A: Yes that's fine. I know it can be kind of an awkward question to ask, but no I don't mind at all :)
Q: What does your username mean? A: The "marathon" that my username/production company refers to is the cycle of life. You can't go through life without experiencing ups and downs, and every day you work towards trying to understand yourself and your goal in life--not unlike a marathon runner training everyday to complete this seemingly impossible task that one could never do without a ton of determination and practice. You just gotta remember to keep on running.
It also refers to how I'm always doing something. Whether it's film, music, graphic design, streaming, whatever, I never seem to stop. In fact, I can't ever imagine stopping.
Q: How old are you? A: 27
Q: Favorite Games? A: Ratchet & Clank, Halo, Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts, Sly Cooper, Gears of War, Final Fantasy, Overwatch, Pokemon, Silent Hill 2, Perfect Dark, Persona 3, just to name a few.
Q: What got you started with speedrunning? A: I saw an IL speedrun of the Silent Cartographer in Halo CE in 2013 and it blew my mind. Later on, Goatrope's SGDQ 2014 run of the full game changed my life. I ran ILs on and off for years with the occasional Halo 2 full game run done for fun mostly. I didn't get serious until much later on.
Q: What is your favorite game you've ran? A: It changes all the time, but I would say Ratchet & Clank, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, and Halo 2 are always mainstay favorites.
Q: Who does your layouts/livesplit? A: I do! If you ever want layout help or any of the split icons I've used in the past, feel free to ask! I always keep all of my split icons saved.
Q: Emotes?? A: Most of the emotes were done by AngelRoseStar. She takes commissions regularly and is extremely fast with turnaround time. I've never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a commission. No real theme to the emotes, other than games/media that are important to me. The Cheers emote was commissioned from Amaris and the Hammer emote was commissioned from Musa. All of the animated emotes are various GIFs I use or reference frequently.
Q: Mod/VIPs?? A: These are normally given to people who have helped me learn speedgames in the past, runners I look up to, close twitch friends, IRL friends, and long time viewers/supporters.
Q: Favorite Pokemon Gen? A: Either Gen 4 or Gen 3. In my old age, I'm leaning a bit towards Gen 4. Platinum AND Soulsilver cmon...
Q: You talk about music a lot: Do you play any instruments? A: I've played drums for about 15 years now. I can loosely play guitar and some other instruments, but mostly in a metal/hardcore setting. I would never consider myself a guitar player, but rather someone who "can" play guitar. I've notably played drums in the past for: Broadening the Daylight, Catharsis Theory, and Femur Breaker
Q: Favorite Bands? A: I LITERALLY listen to everything. I usually get associated with heavier music (metal, hardcore, etc) just because I've played in a ton of metal bands over the years. My all time favorite band is Dream Theater, but its hard to pick favorites after that. Look at the shirts I wear I suppose.
Q: Overwatch main? A: Pharah, any Tank besides Rein, Ana, Lucio, any healer after that to an extent (NO BRIG 🤢) Echo, and a bit of Junkrat. I stopped playing Overwatch shortly after OW2 launched.
Q: Apex main? A: Lifeline and Pathfinder for the first few seasons, Gibraltar after that, then Octane. I started predominately playing Bloodhound in later seasons. I stopped playing Apex around the start of Season 13.
Q. Favorite Pokemon? A. HARD QUESTION. In no order, Tyranitar, Lugia, Swampert.

Emotes - Seem to never have enough now do we?
EAD10 - I've talked about doing drum streams/videos on here since the beginning, and this would finally make that a reality. Used these run around $400 or so.
Shure SM7b - I'm currently using an MXL Mic that belongs to Nick from Catharsis Theory, and am looking to purchase a mic of my own. These run about $400 plus I'll probably need a cloudlifter. Eventually though...
RAD2X Cable - This is a cable designed for those who don't want to hard mod your N64 and still want to use an upscaler (hello it me). I would like to play a bunch of casual games on stream and also maybe try my hand at running Perfect Dark and a couple other games. The newest version is out for preorder and runs roughly $60.
All other stream donations generally go towards stream quality of life improvements such as new emotes and other art, or helping attend in person speedrun events such as Games Done Quick and European Speedrun Assembly.

I stream just about everyday! I don't have a concrete start time but usually I start around 11pm EST and go basically until I feel burnt out or I feel I am at a good note to end on. Stream length is typically 4-6 hours on average, but have also been known to extend to 8 hours or longer.
A good way to stay updated on when streams start would be to join my discord!
