what does masang mean?

Apparently, a lot of things as it means something in Indonesian, Filipino, and likely other languages.

However, I chose the name because "ma sang" is "Massachusetts" (麻省) in Jyutping, the romanization system for Cantonese.

It is actually maa⁴ saang², but I figure it looks better as masang.
