I change the language because its faster. German is fastest for the full game run. Its about 13 seconds faster than English. For individual levels, the fastest language varies.
By pressing right trigger to lunge at an enemy and then immediately pressing x to cancel the animation, it is possible to use the momentum of a sword lunge to fly over enemies while maintaining the speed of a sword cancel
Similar to Sword Canceling, Sword flying allows for much further lunges. Having the reticle red, switching weapons, pressing x, and then immediately pressing right trigger, tricks the game into letting you lunge very far distances.
By first being wedged into the maps geometry, and then jumping between the intersection of two polygons, master chief becomes wedged into the map again. To prevent the player from falling through the geometry, the physics engine forces master chief out, causing the player to gain massive height.
Jumping as a grenade explodes can gain the player some extra height or distance when trying to make certain jumps.
Playing on the Xbox 360 has some emulation errors when playing Halo 2. This causes some screens from previous portions of the game to overlay the current play. Other than being slightly ugly, it does not affect anything.
