I've been a gaming enthusiast since I could barely read and speak, playing on the family Atari 2600. Since then, I've been a lover and player of video games in all shapes and sizes.
What you can expect on this stream is a good diverse selection of retro games with some modern titles sprinkled in. I'm usually pretty knowledgeable about development stories, tips and tricks, or general gaming knowledge, so please say hi and ask questions in the chat! I love to talk with my viewers.
Professionally, I'm a freelance writer. I will write your things.
Basically, be respectful of me, of the other people in the chat, and the core fundamentals of this channel's content. If you follow that principle, you should be okay. If you need to know exactly what not to do, here are some guidelines:
1 - Edgy and offensive attempts at humor at the expense of other people are not allowed.
2 - Backseating of any kind, from direct instructions to more vague expectation-building like "I can't wait to see how you handle Boss X" is not allowed.
3 - Links are fine as long as it's not to content that is potentially unsafe.
4 - Profanity is fine as long as it's not crossing into slur territory.
5 - Don't try to push my buttons for fun. This is not the kind of channel where it's Chat vs. Streamer. I don't mind some jokes at my expense or laughing when I screw up, but try to read the situation and/or my mood. If I'm already frustrated and you opt to antagonize me, you'll probably end up timed out.
6 - Generally speaking I don't respond well to negativity. I know a lot of online gaming culture is about being above certain genres, companies, or titles, being a general skeptic, and particularly in the retro community, dismissal of anything new. Depending on my mood, I'll either ignore this type of chat, debate it back, or just lose my patience and time it out. Best way to dodge this one is talk about the things you like rather than what you don't, or not trying to squeeze in a hot take about the latest gaming news.
