As my work is currently closed indefinitely, I am essentially streaming full time. I stream 5 to 7 days a week on average, with streams typically lasting 5 hours or longer. Type !next in chat (even when I'm offline) to check for significant schedule updates, although there likely won't be any for a while.
I have made it my (very long-term) goal to speedrun every NES game. More than beating a game with a timer running, I will only consider a speedrun to be complete after one of the following results is achieved: a new World Record, discovery of a routing innovation or glitch that improves the speedrun overall, at least a week of attempts once the run is at competitive quality, or completion of a run where the only known way to significantly improve would be to play thousands of times more for optimal (but very unlikely) RNG.
The rules are loose and arbitrary, as the purpose of this process is not to finish as quickly as possible, but rather to further the improvement of NES speedruns as well as my own understanding of NES games. With that in mind, here is a brief FAQ:
-Starting a speedrun doesn't mean I have to finish it before moving onto another game. In fact I will frequently be speedrunning multiple games before one is completed.
-For the most part, I will be using speedrun dot com as a guideline for what sort of times I should be aiming for, but in some cases I won't consider it necessary to run specific categories, such as certain individual levels, various miscellaneous categories, or goals such as going for a high score without a tracked time.
-Finishing a game doesn't mean I'll never come back to it! Viewer favourites will always have a place on my channel.
-Each speedrun will be played on an original cartridge using an original NES and an original default NES controller (or Zapper / Power Pad for their applicable games).
