I was not familiar with any games before Covid spreading. I am really outgoing person, so once my town locked down I felt so sad about it. Then one of my best friends texted me “let’s play game together! You’re gonna love it for sure!”. I didn’t believe her at the time lol, but I just started because at least we can talk a lot in voice chat in game. You know what happened? I am so into it! lol That’s why I started APEX from season 10. After she went back to Japan, she is really busy, and not playing APEX much. I couldn’t stop playing even though she doesn’t join me. lol
There are bunch of Japanese people in my town, so I mostly hangout with Japanese people. Speaking Japanese is of course comfortable, but not good for learning English. Then I decided to start streaming and talk to people from all over the world while I’m playing APEX as a hobby!! That’s really good practice English, but also so much FUN! Plus I want to become a bridge between Japanese speakers and English speakers in my chat.
“Nikoniko” means smiling in Japanese. Smile is the best body language for any country I believe, and I am always smiling! I want to make YOU SMILE through my stream :) :) :) Love ya'll!
はじめまして！とんでもポジティブな"ニコ"と申します。純日本人ですがアメリカ中東部に5年(2022年12月時点)住んでいて、それでもまだまだ英語勉強中であります！
コロナが流行る前までは、ゲームにはあまり興味がありませんでした。おでかけが大好きなので、ロックダウンで外に出れなくなった時に珍しくとっても落ち込んでしまったのですが、お友達が"引きこもりだしゲームやろう！"と声をかけてくれたのがきっかけでAPEXを始めました。まさかハマるとは思っておらず、ただお友達と喋りながら一緒に遊べるのいいなぁくらいにしか考えていなかったのに、気付いたらめちゃめちゃにのめり込んでました笑 その後お友達が日本に本帰国してしまって忙しくなり、あまり一緒に遊んでくれなくなったにも関わらずわたしは既にやめられなくなってしまい、ソロランクで英語圏の野良さんに話しかける日々が始まります笑
わたしの住んでいる地域にはものすごくたくさんの日本人がいるので、普段ほとんど日本人同士で過ごしてしまっていて、アメリカに住んでいながらほぼ日本語を話しています。本当にもったいないことだけれど、やっぱり心地よくて、その環境に甘えてしまっていました。そこでいまや趣味の一つであるAPEXで配信を始めて、世界中の人と英語でお友達になれやしないかと思い付いたのです！あわよくば日本人の方にも見て頂いて、国際交流ができる場にできたらなぁとも思っています。
"いつも笑顔だね"と言ってもらえるのが取り柄なのと、笑顔は世界共通言語だと信じているので、NiKONiKO from Japanという名前に決めました。わたしの配信を通してちょっとでも皆さんにニコっとしてもらえますように :) :) :) ここまで読んでくださって本当にありがとうございます☆！！！
