One day, the fates of a witch and a demon entwined through a pact. It was at the request of the witch, Mochii, that this happened. She needed company, finding herself alone in the world. The demon, Hemii, had her own motives for accepting, motives which at first she kept hidden from her friend-to-be. Those motives, though, were not dark and twisted as one would expect. Hemii wanted to be able to feel. She wanted to laugh and cry, to fear and love like a human, something which a demon could not do on their own. So, with this pact, Mochii and Hemii were bound to one another.
Now, they go through life together. There is not one without the other—there is no moment in which they are alone. Still, as time passes, Hemii quickly learns all that the real world has to offer her in terms of emotion. Out of complacency, a power grows within her, one which allows her to drag the two of them into separate worlds, putting themselves in strange scenarios in order to learn more, not only about life as a whole, but about themselves, strengthening their bond.
