--- 5/30 UPDATE --- THE PAST My past has been full of great opportunities and fun, competing in esports, working in game dev, and really absorbing myself in my passions. I was lucky enough to have grown a channel to thousands and had ~500 concurrency on average most weekends but this was in early days of twitch and my manager at B gave us an ultimatum, delete the channel or lose our jobs. I do not blame B for this but the toxic management we were under. The regret is why I have continued streaming in smaller channels and once I left the company in 2019 decided to give it a try again.
2024 UPDATE Because much of 2022 and 2023 has been rough, I was unable to stream consistently. I've actually been sick since October of 2023 and till this day (May 2024), I'm still having serious issues. I apologize if I don't mute myself on time or have to suddenly afk. FAQ: Why not see a doctor? ~I used to be able to afford it but at this point that's not possible and I'm doing my best to survive and get out of the situation I'm in.
THE PROMISE In 2024 I told myself I have lost too much to what I've been dealing with and decided to give it a final push. !games in the channel shows the games we've been playing since 2019. I am trying to give my full try to grow the community and have been streaming daily since Jan 1st, 2024 averaging about 7 hours a day (usually 8-12 on weekdays and 5-8 on weekends). Times have changed but I also want to continue promoting a positive and safe community where we can talk about our love of games, geek out about the latest shows, and just get to know each other, being there for each other. Sappy I know but I truly believe there are a lot of good gamers and game enjoyers out there!
I write this update after our 150th stream and although it's been with a lot of ups and downs, I want to continue and not give up.
Feel free to ask questions but these are common things that have been popping up on stream so I'd like to have it here so everyone can refer to it.
Hi, I'm rehyl (rail), I used to work in AAA game development, I've always been a gamer, and always will be. I've streamed since the days of X-fire/ustream/justin.tv and my first official stream was the launch date of Jade Empire on Xbox. Prior to that I did a lot of small group streams for Quake 3 and StarCraft competitions.
I streamed a lot of FFXIV, Diablo, Path of Exile, Minecraft, Destiny/Destiny 2, Street Fighter IV, and a few others but I love all types of games and play a variety of different types and genres (click the games banner).
I love all things anime, games, and mythology. I like to build and tinker with tech. I used to have a small business making custom arcade sticks and a graphics design company (primarily Golf and Real Estate businesses).
Titles I've worked on include Call of Duty 1 to Black Ops, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, Diablo 3, Shrek 3-4, Spider-man 2-3, Transformers Movie, War for Cybertron, Kung Fu Panda, Quake 4, Wolfenstein, and many more.
On a serious note, although my vtuber avatar is a catboi, I am a human. I'm streaming because I currently cannot work. I lost the kiddo a few years ago to cancer and streaming games that may or may not be popular has kept me happy (although you'll see me try to stream main stream games so we can grow our community).
Working in the Game industry for 19 years with the insane demands plus needing to go through procedures in an attempt to keep the kiddo alive has put me in my current situation, dealing with respiratory, immune, and heart issues.
I'd also like to add a small remark about my appreciation for my community that has helped me put food in my belly and joy in my heart.
Note that although I have been a vtuber for the past few years, I've streamed with face cam, without cam, as an augmented reality avatar, and through other means.

There are a few ways to find my "schedule". I stream a lot and in 2024 have been doing daily streams of ~7 hours on average.
Long streams generally happen if I'm feeling better that day but the priority is my health so there will be days with shorter streams.

Due to my current hardships and current health issue that prevents me from working a normal job, medical bills, food needs, and bills in general... any tips are appreciated but definitely not necessary. All this goes into helping support the stream by keeping me alive and able to do all this!
