Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time to check out my panels and get to know a little bit about me. My name is Stephan, pronounced Steven, not PH-teven or Ste-PHAN, but you can call me retired or retired8404. I am um, ..49 I think? I can't remember these days, but over 40.
I retired from the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman First Class(E6) after 20 years of service to this great country of ours. During my time in the Navy, I got a chance to visit many countries and experienced so many cultures that I consider myself very blessed. I can tell you more about this in chat if you like. I love to talk about my service and would love to share with you, what I know.
After I retired, I was kind of lost. I had no mission, no job, no minions(junior Sailors) to mentor, nothing. I was free to do anything I wanted!!! While this DOES sound like the most ideal thing in the world and many people strive to be in that position, I can promise you, it gets boring fast and you start to doubt yourself and the meaning of life.
I moved around a bit and settled down in Reno, NV. Finally closer to family and live with my Two dogs; Karma Gene and Stormy Waffles. They are both Belgian Malinois and some of the best friends I have ever had. Love them to bits!
One day, by complete accident(14May15), I clicked on a button on my PS4 controller and started to broadcast to this thing called TWITCH. WTF is a TWITCH? well, within minutes, I had someone come in my chat and say hi to me. It kind of freaked me out because I had no idea what I was doing or who they were. After a lengthy conversations, I discovered I was broadcasting on Twitch.tv. I'M ON TV MA!!! From that day forward I was hooked!
Fast forward three years later, after many many hours of streaming and numerous upgrades to the channel, I was chosen to be a Twitch Partner(03Sep18). One of the happiest days in my streaming life. I MADE IT!! While that is great and I am very thankful, the quest has not stopped there. it is now my mission to help those junior streamers(affiliates) to obtain greatness as well and hopefully, one day, get partnered themselves.
