Welcome! My name is RockitSage and I am a geologist, university instructor, gamer, and science communicator. My channel is primarily here to provide Earth science education in a casual way to break through misinformation and teach people about geologic processes.
I also write music, I am always doing some kind of art or craft project, I take macrophotography of minerals, I love nature/hiking/camping, I enjoy gaming and table top games, and I have too many hobbies.
What do I do as a geologist? I am a sedimentary geologist with an expertise in diagenesis, carbon capture and storage, petrography, scanning electron microscopy, and field geology. Additional disciplines I've studied in more detail include hydrogeology, volcanology, and mineralogy.
On occasion I game on stream. Some of my favorites include the Dark Souls series, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, Hellblade, Valheim, Divinity Original Sin 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Diablo 2 and 3, and many Horror titles.
