Hello! I’m Anna, I am sand-artist from Russia, currently based in Leipzig (Germany). On my channel I broadcast sand drawing on a light table, drawing with colored sand, sand shows, sand mandalas, and some other types of sand art. Just watch, relax, enjoy the sand!
- How long have you been doing sand art?
I started drawing with sand in September 2014. First stream on Twitch – 24.02.2016
- How did you get into it?
I graduated special courses “Sand art for psychologists and art therapists”, where I learned basic moves of sand art. I started streaming because I needed regular art practice and I thought drawing requests from strangers will be fun.
- What kind of sand do you use? Where do you get it?
I use quartz sand with grains 0,1-0,3 mm. It is super clean and soft. I buy it in a special shop or on a factory.
- Do you use other art stuff (paint, pastel, digital art…)
I used to take academic drawing lessons, so I am familiar with traditional materials such as graphite, charcoal, pastel and so on. But I love sand. On the stream I use mainly sand.
- Is it your full-time job?
Yes. In September 2017 I quit the job I had and decided to concentrate all my attention on streaming.
- Why English only?
I want to be open for мulticultural auditory, that's why I decided to use English in my chat. I am still learning English and stream is a great practice for me. Feel free to say hello in your native language, but then keep it English, please!
- Do you have any hobbies?
I had many hobbies but I had to leave behind most of them. Now I knit, crochet and study German language.
