Sigrid and Bird used to work as defense contractors out of their lab in the Antarctic. After their handler Bee attacked the lab they had to go into hiding, disappearing into Mirage City, a gigantic free state city on the South Western coast of the North American continent. Mirage City sprung up after the American Collapse as an unholy combination of corporate city state, and a place for punks and drifters to be themselves without rules.
