Years later, wanderer Skolvar—guided by raven seer Astrid's prophecies, aided by fox trader Aydan, rebel bear Bjorn, and fox Sigrid—converged with haunted Empire commander Ragnar (tormented by lieutenant Kael's ruthlessness and young recruit Erik) at the Runeheart orb. After a clash invoking past visions, Ragnar rejected temptation, joining Skolvar to hide the artifact. Reconciling guilt, they renewed their oath as hunted guardians, inspiring survivors like a frostfire-eyed wolf pup and scarred fox elder, sparking rebellion against the Empire.
