READ THE RULES
Everyone makes mistakes while playing. Literally everyone. Not hyperbole literally, actually literally. If you see me make a mechanical mistake, understand that it's a mechanical mistake.
RULE #1 Negativity = ban. Complaining about your personal mundane things isn't negativity, that's normal.
RULE #2: When making strategy suggestions, do so in an open mind. Use discussion principles - I like talking about this sort of thing. Please don't make them in a corrective way, until post game. Then criticize away.
RULE #3: Pay attention to how you phrase things. Example:
BAD: "Isn't it better to [do whatever]?"
-No, it isn't, and your condescending question has no place here.
GOOD: "Why did you do [whatever]?"
RULE #4 Don't tell other people how to feel
My name is Nathan. I've been playing cards since 1996. At a very young age, I was captivated by the element of strategy necessary to navigate the ever-changing circumstances a player is thrown into with a card game. I've always been in pursuit of better ways to play, and it’s really shaped my life today.
Whether it’s Magic, poker, Hearthstone, or any other games I've ever played seriously – from Dota to WoW to LoL – you name it. If it's a popular game, there's a good chance I've played it.
Many times in my life, I've wondered how I could turn this passion into a career. In November of 2013, I quit my job to pursue a career in gaming full time. I streamed Hearthstone for upwards of 14 hours per day, becoming a professional player before transitioning into a casting career.
Broadcasting suit my skills well - I did improv theatre for five years, I've worked a tad in radio, I understood how competing players' choices in game reflected their thought process - it's been fun!
Now, I live in northern California, and I stream Thursday-Monday on days I'm not traveling or those times when life gets in the way. I wouldn't be able to do this without the support of those who watch the stream and follow my work. I'm thankful every day for everyone who's helped my dream become a reality. It truly is a blessing. Thank you.
Access to custom emotes that let everyone know just how HUGE top decks are, and how much you love the beard. Ask anyone in chat to show them to you!
This is also the best way to give direct support. Each subscription brings us closer to the weekly subscriber goal, and helps me continue doing the work I love here.
