Lim was trained on the violin from 6 years old, self taught on the keyboards & guitar, also uku & guitar-leles. He writes songs as a release & they provide him therapy. Neo learnt the uke from YouTube. They sing to encourage others to sing & learn the ukulele. Singing lifts your soul. Neo & Lim in Brian Gothong's play produced by Cake Theatre. She played a confident, polyamourous lesbian film & theatre director. He was a tortured politician seeking redemption. They were both in love with his wife, Elsa played by Malaysian actor Jo Kukulthas.
Lim won the Life Theatre Best Actor Award for the title role of Florian Zeller's play in 2019. It was the last year of the competition. He also won the very first Life Best Actor Award in 2001 for the character John in David Mamet's Oleanna.
Neo as Sahira in the play Nadirah by Alfian Sa'at, the role that won her Best Actor in Malaysia & Best Supporting Actress in Singapore. One of Neo's favourite stage roles. These are the characters that Neo & Lim played in the sitcom PCK Pte Ltd for 3 seasons on Sg TV. Neo won the Best Comedy Actress Award in 1999 for this role at the Asian Television Awards. They were dropped from the series after 3 seasons without any warning. (Neo had been cast in another series for the only other rival channel.) They often say, this is not their best work.
