I am a 50+ year old gamer from Pennsylvania who has been gaming since the Atari Pong home console was new, with most of my teenage years on the Commodore 64 and 128. So, I've been gaming since before many of you were twinkles in your parents' eyes.
I've been running widescreen.org for over 25 years, which is still considerd by many to be a premier site to go to for aspect ratio and film format information.
I also have been running the Widescreen Podcast and co-host TGP Nominal where my co-host Mark and I talk about all things science fact and science fiction.
Lately, when I'm not working or gaming, I've been on the 3D printing and CAD bandwagon for building Warframe weapon props. You can find photos of my props and other things on Twitter and Instagram .
Although I know there is a band out there by the name Widescreen, this is in reference to my decades-long ownership of widescreen.org.
Back when VHS and smaller TV sets were popular, most movies were not shown correctly. Movies like "Star Wars" were shown with 45% of the visuals cut off to fit a TV screen. The "pan-and-scan" process was wrong then and it's wrong now.
To appeal to fans and filmmakers, studios started to release "widescreen" versions that preserved the correct screen size. These versions resulted in unused areas (inaccurately called "black bars") on the top and bottom of the screen. widescreen.org was started to explain this to people.

I have to work two jobs, and my second job schedule varies from week to week. As such, I can't have a consistent schedule. Sorry, but this is why you need to stay away from credit cards, kids.
I mostly stream Warframe (duh) and my CAD work. I'll play other games as well but infrequently.
